Greetings, Curlfriend!

I am a seasoned licensed cosmetologist and curl specialist of 19 years.

I’m passionate about providing ease and empowering curly naturals, and the stylists and brands that serve them. In an effort to get in front of the market that seeks to serve curly naturals, I also consult with product brands as a subject matter expert.

My goal is empower Black women and children to feel confident and beautiful as we were created to be.

As a little girl, I wished my parents knew what to do with my hair. I wished I had the proper care my tight curls needed. My work is not only a narration of my own life journey, but a culmination of dreams and hopes for the next generation. Throughout my career, I’ve been captivated by the intrinsic beauty of natural curls and inspired by the mix of emotions we experience as humans with tight curls interacting with the world and those around us who subscribe to a Western standard of beauty. Specializing in curls has always been an opportunity to express the complexities and layers of the tight curl experience through education.

I have always been a straight-forward, no nonsense communicator. My communication style is analytical.
This means, I communicate with logic and data rather than emotions. I’ve taken courses on psychoanalytical approaches to coaching. So, even if you’re not a great communicator, don’t fret, I know how to ask the right questions to bring awareness.

The Other Me

A true Carnival Baby- a child conceived during Carnival season.

My culture is in my blood; it’s in my veins. So don’t be surprised and don’t judge me if you see me wining on something and gettin’ on rel stink. Judges, doctors, and members of cabinet all partake in the revelry for Carnival in Trinidad.

Dance is my first love. If you would have read my bio a long time ago, it would have said, I am a dancer at heart, and when I am not working, I am being a mom to an exceptional young girl and in my free time, you can find me dancing. It's been a while since I have danced and I would like to reconnect with the dancer inside. However, the condition of the hair these days robs me of any time I set aside to do anything. Moreover, it depletes my energy. Which is why I am reclaiming my time. I can't keep putting off life because of one's neglect, because life is too short.
In this picture, are my mom and daughter. My mom lost a son. Our time with family is limited. From this day forward, I am reclaiming my time, and I hope you want the same for yourself. This is why we exclusively partner with clients who prioritize their hair care. So that I can say, when I am not managing hair, you'll find me in a dance studio, or liming with family and friends.

If you’re still here, let’s meet.
